  1. May 27,  · Recorded at Chipping Norton Studios, Oxfordshire and Trident Studios, London, August - October Album Recorded Unreleased until (only tracks 5, 8, and 10 appeared previously, on the Willpower compilation CD). Standard jewel case with clear tray incl. 8-p booklet/5(13).
  2. May 05,  · Those numbers are also highlights on Jet Set Jewel. Of the remaining songs, Neighbor Neighbor is a rather pedestrian blues and three more are actually Tony Hymas compositions. That leaves She's Moving On as the unheard Jack Bruce song (lyric by David Hart) and it's as much a two-part piece as To Isengard or Post War/5(12).
  3. Still, the versions on this CD are superb. While Songs for a Tailor could be called "eclectic" moving freely from folk to jazz to R&B, Jet Set Jewel is even more far flung. I'd call it eccentric. From blues to reggae to latin jazz to folk to near operatic - it's almost jarring how much ground he covers - sometimes within a single song/5(12).

  7. The history of "Jet Set Jewel" is as complicated as Jack Bruce's life. Bruce put together a strong album for RSO/Polydor back in The label rejected it AND then stated that he wasn't recording for them anymore but they weren't going to release him from his contract preventing him from making new music with any other label at the time/5.
  8. The cd is remarkable with great great songs Mickey the fiddler, Childsong, Jet set, Neighbour with Dick Heckstall Smith of Colosseum, Jack said due to some business crap the label has not released it untill () wow hard to understand, some songs were issued before on LP best of and Something else as well as on recently released DVD Cities of the heart live /5(11).
